Stone for indoor use can vary from 1/2” to 2” thick. Generally,
dimensional cut stones will be of thinner variety. If you are planning for
a random (or irregular) flagstone look, you will need to make special
accommodations.
At 3/4” to 1 1/4” thick, you have about a half dozen choices including: Silver Mica, Gold Mica, and Bluestone. If you can accommodate stone up to 2” thick, your choices become much greater. In order to do this, you will need to make accommodations at the framing stage so there will be a smoother transition from one surface to another. |
